My Bible And I
Ps 43
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
KJV
What do you do when you feel discouraged, oppressed, and are in despair?
Where do you turn?
On what/whom do you lean?
God is the God of our strength.
His light and His truth (His Word) will lead us into renewed joy.
God’s Word will lead us to worship and exceeding joy in God.
When you are cast down, go to God’s Word. God’s Word will tell you of the great God who is willing to bless you. It will show you that He has a plan for you, that He loves you, that He will guide you, help you, strengthen you, and give you new joy.
Why should we be down-cast? Why should we be discouraged? Hope/trust in God. He will restore to you a healthy countenance, a smiling face, and a joyful heart.
That is His promise to those who come to His Word and trust Him.
Just musing…
